Three wanted bandits arrested in Muridke

Accused confessed to injuring people during different robbery bids

At least three wanted bandits have been arrested by police in Muridke Tehsil on Tuesday.

Reportedly, a team of Kala Shah Kaku police station, including Duty Incharge Ateequr Rehman and Constable Maqsood Hussain were patrolling the area when they saw three suspicious persons riding a motorcycle.

The police team signaled the suspects to stop near toll plaza. However, the outlaws tried to escape on the two-wheeler. The police chased the criminals and managed to arrest them at Motorway Interchange.

The accused were identified as Atif, Sher Zaman and Saud. The police also seized arms and ammunition, cash, mobile phones, motorcycle and other valuables from their possession.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they were involved in committing robberies and criminal activities in the area and evaded the police several times.

The bandits were also involved in injuring people during different armed hold-ups. The suspects used to rob people and would take shelter at hide-outs established in different parts of the city.

On April 6, police arrested six members of a notorious gang of bandits in Mandi Bahauddin’s Phalia tehsil.

Qadirabad police station SHO and his team conducted a successful raid at a hideout after receiving a tip off. The officials arrested five wanted bandits from the Mudassari gang.

The accused were identified as Mudassir Iqbal, Amir Shehzad, Muhammad Usman, Ibrar Hassan, Adnan Ansar and Shiraz Ali.

Illegal weapons, cash, mobile phones and other items were seized from the possession of the outlaws.
