Says crown prince played vital role in reducing tensions between Pakistan, India

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry emphasized upon the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and said that the two countries were making joint efforts to portray the true teachings of Islam which focused on the maintenance of peace and harmony in the region.

During an interview with Saudi newspaper, 'al Riyadh', he said that Saudi Arabia was playing an important role for the integrity of the Muslim Ummah and was taking steps to safeguard it from prevailing threats.

"Islamabad enjoys warm cordial relations with Riyadh and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman played a vital role in reducing tensions between Pakistan and India," Fawad Chaudhry said.

According to the minister, Saudi Arabia maintains strong defence and security ties with different countries around the world which helps in promoting unity among the Muslim Ummah.
