Girls college to be upgraded to varsity in Rawalpindi

Government to also build three new colleges in the city

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved the summary to grant the status of university to the historical Government Post Graduate Girls College Satellite Town.

Apart from this, the government will also build three new colleges in Rawalpindi. CM Buzdar is expected to make this announcement on April 12 during the inauguration of Girls Degree College at railway station road.

Varsity, six new degree colleges to be established in Rawalpindi

The new colleges will be built in Rahimabad which is considered one of the thickly populated areas of the cantonment. In a bid to avert any possible suspension of any official by the chief minister, the district administration is on high alert before the arrival of the chief minister whereas the roads are being scrubbed and footpaths will be painted. All the officials including have been directed to report to their offices on particular day.
