Sirajuddin Aziz’s Mongolian Pot launched

The book is an anthology of politics, leadership, social etiquette and history

KARACHI: Sirajuddin Aziz's latest book, Mongolian Pot, was launched on Thursday. It is an anthology of Aziz's articles on a varied spectrum of topics including politics, leadership, social etiquette and history, which were published over the course of the last four decades.

Aziz is a senior banker who has worked with different organisations in the UAE, China, Hong Kong, UK, Nigeria and Pakistan. He is currently the CEO of Group Financial Institutions at Habib Bank AG Zurich.

In the prologue of the book, the author states that his writings have been inspired by real life events. Speaking at the book launch, Aziz said, "In publishing this book, I hope that readers can learn vicariously through my observations, thoughts, learnings and advice". This is the author's sixth publication. Speaking on the launch, former interior minister Lt General (Retd) Moinuddin Haider said, "Mongolian Pot is interesting to read in terms of its simplicity and its ease of understanding. Former senator Javed Jabbar said, "Mongolian Pot is a delicious potpourri of his intellect". Ikram Sehgal, chairperson of Pathfinder Group, remarked, "Aziz has touched upon leadership, integrity, democracy and appreciation of the armed forces".
