Unpaid Bills: WASA issues final notices

The agency will cut off water connections if the bills are unpaid

HYDERABAD: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa), a subsidiary of the Hyderabad Development Authority, has issued final notices to departments of the Sindh government to pay their bills. According to Wasa, these departments were given several warnings but this time the agency will cut off their water connections if they fail to pay. Taluka Administration City, for example, owes Rs404.5 million, Taluka Administration Latifabad Rs214.5 million, Taluka Administration Qasimabad Rs57.9 million, the industries department Rs149.5 million and the Hyderabad district assembly Rs3.3 million.
