K-P health dept told to fill vacant posts
There are 130 vacant posts of doctors in district Lakki Marwat
PESHAWAR:
Senate's Functional Committee for Backward Areas on Thursday directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health department to fill 130 vacant posts of doctors in district Lakki Marwat and if local applicants were not applying then invite applications from other districts.
The committee meeting chaired by Senator Osman Khan Kakar directed health, education, public health, NADRA, National Highways Authority to take pragmatic measures to resolve problems of masses on emergence basis. He said that there 209 approved posts of doctors in district Lakki where 130 posts were lying vacant compelling the people to go to other districts for best medical care.
The chairman further directed that minimum salaries of NCHD teachers should be Rs16,000 for which the committee would forward recommendations. The committee was told that there was a need of 146 NCHD schools in the area.
