OGRA raises LNG prices by up to 6%

RLNG price for SNGPL consumers will be $10.5758 per mmbtu and for SSGC consumers it will be $10.5246 per mmbtu

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) by $0.2716 per million British thermal units (mmbtu) for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) consumers and $0.2703 per mmbtu for Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) consumers for April 2019.

According to a notification issued by Ogra, the RLNG price for SNGPL consumers will be $10.5758 per mmbtu and for SSGC consumers it will be $10.5246 per mmbtu.

For March 2019, the RLNG price was fixed at $10.3042 per mmbtu for SNGPL and $10.2543 per mmbtu for SSGC. Prices for April have been increased by 2.78% (or $0.2716 per mmbtu) for SNGPL and 5.977% (or $0.2703 per mmbtu) for SSGC.

In February 2019, the government had reduced RLNG prices for SNGPL consumers by 3.97% to $10.599 per mmbtu and for SSGC consumers by 4.1% to $10.906 per mmbtu.

RLNG prices also include LNG terminal charges, transmission losses, port charges and margins of importers ie Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL).
