KARACHI: Famed pop band Strings has just released their new song and to say we were touched, would be an understatement. The group joined hands with Special Olympics Pakistan and created a music video that features Pakistani athletes that have recently returned from the special Olympic Games 2019 held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The song titled Tum Aasman Ho has its heart in the right place. It grows on you as you witness a signature Strings melody juxtaposed with the visuals of athletes training hard and fast to excel in their game.

Anwar Maqsood’s poetry infuses the much-needed respect and recognition for the usually under-celebrated sportsmen and women as the rather uplifting composition turns it into an anthem of hope and a better future.
As a band, Strings have always highlighted serious social issues through their music. Be it speaking about the atrocities of war in their song Beirut or taking up child labour in the recently released Ur Jaaon, String’s music has always had its heart in the right place and Tum Aasman Ho is no different.
