Jeff Bezos became the first person to top the Forbes billionaires index with a net worth of more than $131 billion while last year as well, he had topped that list with more than $100 billion net worth despite Amazon’s stocks falling in August.

This year, he has $19 billion more than he did last year and that too at a time where the e-commerce giant, Amazon had a positive 2018. While Bill Gates follows in second place $98.7 billion with his Microsoft not being the most valued company. Mark Zuckerberg is also in the top 10 with his net worth accounting to $61.8 billion.
Bezos’ vast fortune and net worth have come into great speculation when he and MacKenzie announced their divorce in January via Twitter which remains pending.

According to Bloomberg, Mackenzie could very easily become the richest woman in the world after the division of assets as per the Washington States divorce rules. With $137.2 billion, Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest person and due to her former husband’s assets, Mackenzie would have a net worth of $69 billion.
