K-P govt to invite budget proposals from public

We would take public opinions and recommendations, says K-P Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra has directed  the finance ministry to accommodate public views and opinion in the provincial budget and initiated a pre-budget survey with the title “Your views are our priorities”.

While speaking to Daily Express, Jhagra said that the reasons behind the conducting of survey is to accommodate the recommendation of its masses and base our budget on the those priorities.

“We would take public opinions and recommendations via telephone numbers and also through the provincial ministry web portal http://www.finance.gkp.pk, while we also conduct survey in selected districts each from sourh and tribal areas he said.

He urged the public to take active part in the survey and also encouraged and directed the government to give the guidelines on which we could line next year’s budget, that the differences we have with other previous governments.
