Inquiry ordered against livestock officials in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Anti-Corruption Establishment Regional Director ordered an inquiry against two officers, including livestock deputy director over misusing power and corruption charges.

ACE authorities said on Friday that anti-corruption establishment came to know that some influential people occupied a piece of land of livestock department in Kalra Village, Hayatpur, Manke Wala and Chak Omar in connivance livestock department officials.

The ACE director assigned the inquiry to the Assistant Director Nisar Ahmad Joyea and ordered to report the office by April 15.  Meanwhile, the police arrested five accused and seized narcotics and weapons from their possession.

Inquiry launched into cannons discovered at Lahore Fort

A police official said that Bhera police team conducted raid at Mohallah Sheikhawala and confiscated 10 kilogrammes of hashish. However, drug pusher Muhammad Bilal managed to escape.

Similarly, the police arrested five accused and seized 360 grammes of hashish, two pistols, a rifle and bullets from them. The accused were identified as Jamshed Iqbal, Haroon Gondal, Faisal Abbas, Waqar and Muhammad Shabbir.
