Punjab University VC makes 400 illegal appointments

Report reveals Vice-chancellor also illegally promoted current employees of the university.

LAHORE: The Vice-chancellor of Punjab University has made 400 illegal appointments at the university, Express 24/7 reported on Tuesday.

A report prepared by a sub-committee of the Punjab Assembly’s Standing Committee on Education revealed that the VC was involved in making illegal appointments.

The university’s registrar, additional registrar and deputy controller for examinations are among those who were illegally appointed.

The report states that many employees were also illegally promoted by the VC.
