WORCESTER: Worcestershire's long and frustrating wait for the arrival of Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal appears to be over. The 33-year-old has been frustrated by a lengthy delay in the return of his passport from Abu Dhabi, where it was sent so that his visa to play county cricket could be processed. But Ajmal arrived in England yesterday and is expected to make his Worcestershire debut in a one-day tour match against Sri Lanka at New Road on June 22. Ajmal's arrival has been long awaited due to the absence of a quality spinner in the team.
