ADB delegation surveys BRT project

Expresses satisfaction on pace and quality of work

PESHAWAR: A delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Wednesday visited different parts and stations of Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRT) Peshawar and expressed satisfaction over pace and quality work on the project, spokesman of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) said in a statement.

Officials of ADB, the main financier for the BRT project, reiterated commitment and support for development and improvement of Peshawar.

The delegation vowed to change the Peshawar into a modern and developed city, the PDA statement said. The K-P officials while briefing on the occasion assured the ADB delegation for timely completion of the BRT project. The officials said the corridor has completed while work on stations is being continued around the clock, which would be completed as per stipulated period.

According to PDA, the ADB delegation had shown complete satisfaction and appreciated the pace of work and quality of the BRT project. They expressed hope that the BRT stations will soon open according to the timeline of the project. They also suggested opening of routes and removal of hurdles on some locations to facilitate general public.
