KARACHI: A district and sessions court accepted on Tuesday the bail pleas of accused in the case of the death of six labourers who died in a mishap at a construction site near Boat Basin.

The court accepted the bail pleas for Muhammad Iqbal, Amin Muhammad Kajani, Abdul Aziz Memon, Ameer Ali and Muhammad Munir Memon against a surety of Rs10,000 each. The court directed the police to submit their file and present the accused before the court at the next hearing on March 16.  According to police, six workers were killed after a lift at the construction site fell from the 13th floor.

Bail granted

A district and sessions court while hearing on Tuesday the case against FixIt founder and MNA Alamgir Khan for throwing sewage in front of CM House gate, granted interim bail to the accused. The court also ordered Khan to deposit Rs20,000 as surety money. Earlier, the court had declined the bail because the surety money was not paid.
