Railways minister says PM Imran, Iranian President Rouhani will soon meet
Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was not in any danger from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, who he claimed had their heydays behind them.
Addressing the media after meeting the prime minister at the Chief Minister House in Lahore on Saturday, he advised the two opposition leaders to focus more on their health problems.
To a question about reports of an expected meeting between PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat jail, the minister said, “Good to know [that they are meeting]. They will be more exposed and people would know that all corrupt people are joining hands.”

The railways minister said he apprised the prime minister of his recently concluded visit to Tehran, adding that Prime Minister Imran will soon contact Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to discuss regional issues.
The minister was on a two-day official visit to Iran, where he met the Iranian president and gave him a letter from Prime Minister Imran. He said that a meeting between the Pakistani prime minister and Iranian president was on the cards.
The minister said that Pakistan Railways will further enhance departmental cooperation with Iran and Turkey.
Sheikh Rashid said the prime minister will inaugurate the newly established “VIP train”, Jinnah Express, on March 30, which would run between Karachi Cantt and Lahore Cantt. The minister said that another VIP train, Sir Syed Express, would also be introduced soon to facilitate the “elite of society”.
