UN Human Rights Commission calls for setting up commission to probe human rights violations in IoK

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the world community to take notice of India's belligerent behaviour and intervene in the affairs of Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), Radio Pakistan reported.

FM Qureshi reiterates desire for better relations with India

India will have to give Kashmiri people their rights, the foreign minister apprised the media in Sukkur. "Given the deteriorating conditions of the occupied territory, the United States has termed it as a dangerous zone and advised citizens against visiting it," he remarked.

Qureshi added that the United Nations Human Rights Commission has called for setting up a commission to probe human rights violations in IoK. The British House of Commons has also voiced concern on the matter.

On Indian hostility, he called out Indian players for creating war hysteria by wearing army caps during cricket matches.

"If India initiates aggression, Pakistan shall give a befitting response," FM Qureshi maintained, adding that Pakistan's desire for peace has been lauded by world leaders.
