Man pardons son’s ‘murderer’ on promise of madrassah education to his children
Suspect had ran over his tractor over a three-year-old boy in Bannu on Tuesday

In a show of ungrudging courtesy and kindness, a man pardoned the alleged murderer of his three-year-old son on promise that he would enroll at least one of his own sons or daughters to a religious seminary in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) town on Wednesday.
A three-year-old boy was killed in a road accident involving the suspect, Majeed Khan’s tractor in Rehmatabad locality that falls within the jurisdiction of Sadr Police Station on Tuesday. The accident happened due to over speeding, according to eyewitnesses.
Emotional scenes were witnessed when the body was taken to the Bannu District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem.

Much to the surprise of those present, the victim’s father Maulana Zahidullah announced that he was ready to pardon the suspect if he promises to enroll at least one of his children to a madrassah. To which, the suspect’s father assured the generous man that he would enroll all his grandchildren in a seminary for Islamic studies.
With teary eyes, the crowd hailed Maulana Zahid’s decision as exemplary.
Earlier in January, 2019, the parents of the two minor brothers who died after eating substandard food from Arizona Grill, an eatery in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA), had pardoned the restaurant’s owner.
