Diplomatic ties: Germans want to ‘understand Pakistan’
Pakistan and India should improve their relations so the countries could benefit from one another, Germany
KARACHI:
A five-member German delegation was honoured by German Consul General Dr Christian Brecht at the chancery on Saturday. Germany Parliament member, Rainer Arnold, is leading the delegation, which consists of Social Democratic Party parliament members who said they are on a “mission to better understand Pakistan”. “Pakistan has put in a lot of strenuous efforts for peace and stability in this region, but a lot more can be done,” said Arnold. Germany was helping Pakistan by training 330 army personnel in anti-terrorism warfare, he added. Arnold suggested that Pakistan and India improve their relations so the countries could benefit from one another.
