ISLAMABAD:
The city police raided a hideout of criminals involved in car snatching and armed robberies and arrested six members of the gang while recovering arms and ammunition and fake registration copies of vehicles from the Tumair area.
On a tip off, The Nilore police raided a house in Tumair and the criminals inside opened fire on the police. When the police retaliated, the suspects surrendered. The police arrested Javed Iqbal, Sajjad Ahmed, Rameez, Junaid, Faisal and Jabbar from the house.
Police recovered two 12 bore guns, an 8 mm gun and 25 live rounds, registration books and number plates of vehicles along with fake stamps of different police stations.
