Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Special Prosecutor Mirza Tanvir maintained that the accused made multiple fake profiles on Facebook through which he would befriend women, then sexually harass and blackmail them.

The prosecutor argued that the accused did not deserve bail. He said that the FIA had investigated Umer Ghauri after a complaint was filed by one of the women he was blackmailing.
