Suspect allegedly killed five people and injured others during robbery bids

FAISALABAD:
An accused involved in murdering five people during different robbery bids has been arrested by Faisalabad police, Express News reported.

Reportedly, CIA City Division Incharge Sub-Inspector Siddiq Cheema, ASI Hammad Yusuf and other policemen raided a hide-out in Muzaffar Colony and nabbed accused Nasir.

The police shifted the suspect to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

The CIA police officials said the culprit had gunned down five people and injured several others during different robbery attempts. They revealed that Nasir was a professional shooter and was involved in criminal cases of heinous nature.

They mentioned that 16 cases of robbery and murders were registered against the suspect. The officials disclosed that three accomplices of the accused identified as Arshad, Nafees and Ibrahim were arrested earlier and had been sent to jail.

They highlighted that after the arrest of the criminals, the police managed to control crime in the city. They said further investigations were under way.

On February 28, Batala Colony police claimed to have arrested three robbers during a raid in the city.

The police force received a tip-off that wanted robbers, belonging to notorious criminal gang, were present in the area with the intention of committing a robbery.

The police team immediately conducted a raid and nabbed the suspects who were identified as Kamran, Shahbaz and Khurram.
