Infant dies of ‘doctor’s negligence’ in Multan

Father demands authorities take strict action against the doctor

MULTAN: An infant died due to the alleged negligence of a doctor at a private clinic in Multan, Express News has learnt.

The victim’s father Arshad, a resident of Delhi Gate area, said that his wife Mehvish Bibi was pregnant and was brought to the private clinic for delivery. He added when his wife started suffering labour pains, he asked the medical staff to call the doctor.

Arshad revealed that after a delay, a lady doctor on duty identified as Zehra, took his wife to the delivery room.

Medical negligence claims boy's life

However, he lamented that after sometime the lady doctor approached him and said the baby had died during the operation.

The heartbroken man protested against the negligence of the lady doctor and the staff of the health facility.

He demanded that authorities take strict action against the doctor for committing negligence.
