Seven-year-old girl sexual assaulted

Police said victim’s father and others reached suspect’s house and saw him allegedly raping her

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to sexual assault in Daska Tehsil on Wednesday.

Bambawala police said that Jaffar Hussain, a resident of Iqbal Town, was scheduled to attend a wedding ceremony of his cousin. While he and other family members were getting ready, his daughter I* went out of the house to play with other children.

In the meantime, Yasin abducted the girl and took her to his house situated a few blocks away. The culprit then allegedly raped I*.

When the victim did not return home after a while, Jaffar and people from the neighbourhood started searching for the girl. They reached Yasin’s house and heard the victim’s screams coming from inside.

Jaffar and others immediately broke the door and went inside. There they saw the suspect committing the heinous act. The people tried to catch the accused but he managed to escape.

The police have registered an FIR against the culprit and started investigations.

Earlier on February 26, a five-year-old girl was subjected to sexual assault in Faisalabad.

Police said that A*, a resident of Chak No 619-GB, was playing outside her house when unidentified suspects abducted her. The culprits took her to the fields where they raped her.
