While speaking in his constituency in Barkhan district on Tuesday, Khetran also underscored the importance of education to change mindsets and asserted that Rakhni city would be turned into an educational hub.
Regarding peace committees, he said that four members of each union council would be selected to become part of these panels. The members would then be tasked with identifying participants of and stakeholders in inter-tribal conflicts and play the role of mediator in ensuring peaceful and speedy resolution, he added.

“I shall raise my voice against inter-tribal wars on every issue,” he said, while pointing out how such rivalries have not only affected economy and trade but also resulted in loss of life.
He urged the youth to not be tempted by messages of violence and to instead focus on their education. “Without education, nations are unable to make the transition to development and prosperity,” said Khetran.
The provincial minister said that the Balochistan government has also imposed an educational emergency in the province to tackle the challenge. He also exhorted teachers and educators to be more diligent and punctual in the performance of their duties and to serve as role models for students.
The minister also announced that a stadium would be established in Rakhni city to promote sports and extracurricular activities.
