Raza Rabbani calls upon OIC to withdraw invitation to Sushma Swaraj to foreign ministers’ meeting in UAE

Senate on Tuesday strongly condemned the violation of Pakistani airspace by Indian fighter jets and said that the entire nation was united in the defence of their motherland.
Speaking in the Upper House, Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Raza Rabbani said that India had never accepted the creation of Pakistan since the partition of subcontinent. He said its policies always promoted anti-Pakistan narrative.
The senator called upon the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to withdraw invitation to Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to the foreign ministers’ meeting in the United Arab Emirates on March 1, saying, ‘You are not being invited for attacking Pakistan’.
The senator stressed that parliamentary diplomacy should be launched as an offensive to expose Indian designs against Pakistan.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Raja Zafarul Haq maintained that the people of Pakistan were resolute against any Indian aggression and would not hesitate to render their lives for their country.
He observed that the country was passing through critical times and needed internal unity.
PML-N Senator Javed Abbasi said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had staged a drama to win the election.

He stressed that a strong message stating that everything in the region would be destroyed if war was imposed on Pakistan be sent to India.
Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq noticed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a proponent of the politics of hatred towards Pakistan and Muslims.
He observed that other minorities, including Sikhs, Christians, and Dalits were suffering due to the politics of hate propagated by the Modi regime.
The JI chief regretted OIC’s invitation to Indian external affairs minister to attend foreign ministers’ meeting in the UAE.
JI Senator Mushtaq Ahmed noted that no power on earth could undo Pakistan and the entire nation stood united in defending the ideological and geographical boundaries of the country.
Stressing the resolve of the country’s people, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) secretary general Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri declared that the nation was ready for any kind of sacrifice in the defence of their homeland.
He said that every citizen was standing behind the valiant forces of Pakistan to give a tit-for-tat response to Indian aggression.
Condemning the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Senator Noman Wazir Khattak observed that occupation forces were targeting innocent people in the valley. He said India was living in fools’ paradise that it could undo Pakistan.
The senator said that the resilient armed forces of Pakistan were fully capable of giving a befitting response to any Indian misadventure.
Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi said India would never succeed in its designs to destabilize Pakistan.
The minister called for launching proactive diplomatic initiatives to expose India’s intentions globally and added that every Pakistani and key stakeholder will have to play an exemplary role for the purpose.
Afridi said that Pakistan is peace loving country and wanted to resolve all issues through peaceful means.
He said that India should not forget if a war is imposed on Pakistan, there will be new precedents of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the days to come.
