Energy conservation: Consumer cooperation urged to overcome crisis

PESCO Chief Executive Muhammad Wali on Saturday said that consumers’ cooperation and consensus are vital to overcome the current energy crisis, which has increased due the increasing heat wave and usage of electricity.


According to him, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) was taking concerted steps to overcome the energy crisis, however the public is requested, to conserve energy especially during the peak hours between 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

He urged industrial consumers to extend their support by reducing their energy consumption by 25 per cent, and close all commercial markets and shopping areas before 8 pm.
