Nokia launches smartphone with five rear cameras

Along with that, the company launched a few other devices

HMD Global, the home of Nokia smartphones unveiled a range of phones at the Mobile World Congress 2019. The company made a host of changes to its lineup. It included the world’s first smartphone with five cameras - the Nokia 9 PureView along with the Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2, Nokia 1 Plus and revival of Nokia 210.



Nokia 9 PureView

The five camera flagship features ZEISS Optics. The lense include three monochrome and two RGB that ensure the capturing of great detail and texture. There is also a feature of capturing bokeh pictures that renders out-of-focus lights to create a visually appealing picture. Nokia 9 PureView lets you capture images in RAW format which when taken into post-production can help the editor colour and correct picture as you like. The company has partnered with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom which comes as an in-built app that allows you to edit pictures on the go.

“Today we use our heritage of innovation to take a bold step - pioneering a truly innovative approach to imaging with the Nokia 9 PureView,” said Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global.

Priced at $699, the phone also comes with wireless charging, an OLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and a fingerprint scanner to give it the security it needed.

Nokia 4.2

The latest smartphone has a dedicated Google Assistant button.

This phone has a compact size edge-to-edge display with a dual-depth sensing rear camera and runs on the latest Android 9 Pie. It comes in pink sand and black colour. The smartphone also comes equipped with a notification light that will blink or vibrate in gesture when a message or call comes through.

Nokia 3.2

This smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch HD display that is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and more efficient hardware that makes it a premium smartphone. Google Assistant button has the same features in this handset as it does in Nokia 4.2 which gets tasks done with ease.

“With two years of OS updates and 3 years of monthly security updates guaranteed, Nokia phones stay fresh for life and deliver an experience that just keeps getting better,” said Pekka Rantala, Chief Marketing Officer, HMD Global.



Priced at $139, Nokia promises to last a two-day battery life with artificial intelligence-driven adaptive battery.

Nokia 1 Plus

This handset is 12 per cent slimmer and uses 3D Nanopattern technology. It comes in red textured colour along with a plainer version in black and blue colour. The handset comes with 2x more storage and will be available as soon as mid-March. Priced at a minimum of $99, the large modern display of Nokia 1 Plus allows users to enjoy watching movies and playing games with the latest Android Go Edition.

Nokia 210

The most affordable device with internet is back as Nokia relaunches the iconic feature phone 210 in March. The phone will be equipped with all popular social apps including Facebook, Opera Mini and the classic game that made its earlier devices popular - Snake.

Priced at $35, the phone comes in three colours; grey, black and white and carries a 1020 mAh battery back.
