Does the Jonas family dislike Priyanka Chopra?

Fans have been eyeing some friction between the sisters-in-law

The world of showbiz is such that no matter how hard one tries, some people will just never believe them. True to the adage that ‘haters are gonna hate,’ celebrities are always being targeted with criticism of one kind or another.

Sometimes, the fashion police is questioning their outfit choices, other times fans are ridiculing them for some project they had taken up against their better judgement. And a lot of times, the negativity attacks their personal relationships.

And by that, we don’t mean romantic liaisons but family ties as well. Talk about unnecessary interference! Such was the case with the recent episode between Danielle Jonas and Priyanka Chopra which, small as it may have been, was enough to convince everyone of infighting between the sisters-in-law.

What happened was that the 32-year-old starlet, who is married to Kevin Jonas, took to Instagram to wish Joe Jonas’s fiancée Sophie Turner – her other sister-in-law – a happy birthday. Danielle shared a sweet picture with her 1.3 million followers saying, "Happy birthday! My girls and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. They can't get enough of their aunt Sophie. You deserve the world and I hope you're having an amazing birthday! Love you."

Now that seems pretty harmless, right? That's probably what the mom-of-two thought too. But soon enough, fans began speculating about how Danielle’s post was "low-key shade" against Priyanka.

Fortunately, the reality TV personality shut down the accusations before things got too out of hand. “Nope,” E! News quoted Danielle as saying. "No shade about Priyanka. It's just Sophie's birthday so I wanted to say happy birthday. I think everyone should stop with thinking that we don't like Priyanka as she is lovely. I am so over people trying to make a problem." We hear you, girl!

According to rumours, Danielle didn't get along with Priyanka when she didn't attend the latter’s bachelorette party last November. But has clarified she was in the process of "moving to another house" and couldn't make it.

Priyanka married Nick Jonas on December 1, 2018. Danielle has been married to Nick's eldest brother Kevin, for almost 10 years now — they tied-the-knot back in 2009. More recently, Game of Thrones’ Sophie became engaged to Nick's other older brother, Joe, last October.

All the family members flew to Indian back in December to attend Nick and Priyanka's wedding at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. It's safe to say there's no bad blood between the two sister-in-laws.
