KARACHI: Pakistan has devised a three-pronged strategy to counter the allegations hurled by India in the wake of Pulwama attack.

The strategy includes running a diplomatic campaign against the accusations by India, continue putting in efforts for the reinstatement of dialogue and utilizing all defense operations in case of an aggression.

According to sources in the federal government, Prime Minister Imran Khan has been constantly involved in detailed consultations and overseeing the whole situation following the Pulwama attack.

Firstly, it has been decided to keep all the foreign diplomats abreast with the situation in the occupied Kashmir and run a diplomatic campaign for the purpose.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to take immediate measures to globally highlight the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan to combat terrorism and extremism.

Federal government will be constantly in contact with the United Nations and all international forums.

Pakistan would further establish contacts with all diplomatic forces.

The message will be conveyed that Pakistan is a peaceful country which lost thousands of its patriots in the war against terror.

Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used for terrorism against anyone and that it is not involved in Pulwama attack.

It will further be informed that the charges framed by India are baseless as the Modi government has not shared any evidence with Pakistan in support of its allegations.

It will further be said that Pakistan offered facilitation to India in investigation for Pulwama attack but the neighbouring country was seeking an easy way out.

The federal government would raise the issue at UN Security Council and the officials would initiate contact with the countries who are regular attendees of the international body.

Pakistan would also inform the international community about the atrocities committed by India in held Kashmir and on Muslims in India.

Pakistan would effectively reply to all Indian propaganda at all forums.

For this purpose, Pakistan has directed its ambassadors in different countries to inform the respective governments of its stance.

According to the second point of strategy, Pakistan as a peace-loving country would keep the option of dialogue open with India and efforts would be made to bring the neighbouring country to the dialogue table.

The third point of strategy states that Pakistan for its defense would employ all its resources. If India tried to violate land, air or water boundaries, the forces of the country would give a befitting response.

Sources said that federal government regarding its policy on Indian aggression and accusations has decided to take the parliament into confidence.

The federal government would endeavour to devise a comprehensive policy at the parliamentary level to so that the situation could be dealt accordingly.

It has also been decided that Pakistan could change the strategy while completely observing the Indian policies and aggression.
