A pothole surfacing at Lahore airport's main runway delayed on Tuesday at least 10 international and local flights.

The pothole once again emerged on the Allama Iqbal International Airport's main runway, which had recently been closed for repair work by the Civil Aviation Authority, after heavy rains, Express News reported.

Quoting sources, the publication said a flight coming in from Jeddah was rerouted to Islamabad where passengers were offloaded.

"The runway was closed from 10am to 2pm with all of our flights delayed," Pakistan International Airlines Spokesperson Mashood Tajwar told The Express Tribune.

Last month, a PIA flight carrying 300 passengers made an emergency landing at the Karachi airport in a similar incident.
