Future Projects: LDA to build 3 more parking plazas

At least Rs1.1 billion has been allocated for the project.

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been allocated Rs1.1 billion for the execution of new development projects in the city including construction of three parking plazas and development of a cricket ground in Sabzazar’s G-Block. Moreover, model schools for boys in Allama Iqbal Town and Sabzazar would be upgraded to higher secondary level by the LDA. The decisions were announced by LDA chairman Ahad Khan Cheema during a meeting of the LDA governing body on Friday. Cheema said that a four-storey parking plaza for motorcycles will be constructed on Yaseen Street on Hall Road. The one-kanal plaza will accommodate 193 motorbikes, he said. Another two-storey parking plaza will be built in Neela Gumbad. It will accommodate 365 cars and 360 motorbikes.  The third 10-storey parking facility will be constructed at Moon Market in Allama Iqbal Town and will have a parking capacity for 400 cars and 500 motorbikes. Two floors will be commercial and have 67 shops.
