SSP issues orders to check vehicles with tinted glasses and issue tickets to violators

ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), during the last month, launched a special campaign against tinted glass vehicles and fined 2,486 vehicles in this period, a police spokesman said.
SSP (Traffic) Farrukh Rasheed had directed to take strict action against the tinted glass vehicles as per law with a purpose to eliminate VIP culture. The SSP issued orders to check the vehicles with tinted glasses and issue tickets to violators.
He said that this campaign will continue on in the coming days in order to curb this violation effectively.
Safety issues: ITP issued tickets to 2,900 motorists
The SSP said that the zonal in-charge would be solely responsible if any vehicle with tinted glasses was observed on roads. He directed to constitute special squads for the purpose who would be authorised to remove black tints from vehicles.
Special teams have been constituted for the purpose and all Zonal DSPs will supervise the campaign, the SSP Rasheed said.
