ANF foils five bids in 14 days to smuggle drugs to Doha

All five smuggling bid were foiled at Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA)

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled fifth consecutive attempt of smuggling narcotics to Doha on board Qatar Airways during the last 14 days. This does not include other seizures.

ANF arrested passenger for carrying narcotics to Doha on a Qatar Airline flight from Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) on Wednesday.

Earlier on January 31, personnel of the ANF recovered drugs concealed in oranges during checking of luggage of a Doha-bound passenger of Qatar Airways at the search desk set up at BKIA.

On February 2, ANF arrested a passenger who had concealed drugs in handmade decoration pieces. The suspect was about to board Qatar Airways flight to Doha

On February 5, a passenger heading to Qatar was caught with drugs concealed in pastry box. He too had booked a seat on Qatar Airways flight.

A Doha-bound passenger was caught with luddo board and dices loaded with drugs on February 11. He had also booked a seat on Qatar Airways.
