The provincial government has decided to take action against those officers who are involved in corruption during the purchase and transportation of wheat in the province.
The provincial food department during the said 2017 campaign bought 996,173 bags of wheat but according to the government’s policy the food department has released only 857,799 packets in grind mills.

Furthermore, according to the food department a total of 138,374 packets of wheat are available in Quetta, Naushki, Mastung and Panjgur’s warehouses.
The chief minister has ordered an audit into wheat storage in provincial warehouses and directed food department to submit its report.
