Water shortage

There is no educational or medical facilities in Rekh Kaheerin

Letter February 05, 2019

BALL NIGWAR, TURBAT: Rekh Kaheerin is one of the smallest villages of sub-tehsil Ball Nigwar where around 500 people live in severe hardships. There is no educational or medical facilities in this remote area, which is located about 90km from Turbat.

Even water is not available for drinking. People are compelled to travel long distances to fetch water which is not even fit for drinking. As a result, the inhabitants of the village face health-related problems such as diarrhoea and kidney malfunction.

Water is a basic necessity for humans and it is impossible to survive without it. But unfortunately, people of the area have been facing shortage of water for a very long time.

The government of Balochistan should come up with a workable solution to the many problems that the people of Rekh Kaheerin are suffering from.
