Tennis: Clijsters ruled out of Wimbledon

Withdraws from Wimbledon due to foot injury.

LONDON: World number two Kim Clijsters has withdrawn from next week's Wimbledon Championships because of a foot injury. The 28-year-old, who would have been seeded two at the event, had a recurrence of the problem at the Unicef Open in the Netherlands on Tuesday. "At this moment I feel frustrated that it has to happen now before one of my favourite tournaments," she said. "I've always enjoyed being a part of the Wimbledon atmosphere but I've no other choice but to rest."
