KARACHI: The prison department has initiated the installation of modern high-resolution night-vision CCTV cameras at Karachi Central Jail.
Jail Superintendent Hassan Sahito said that a contract had been signed with the National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRCT) under which 215 high-resolution night-vision CCTV cameras would be installed in the barracks, offices, balconies, main gates and other locations of the Karachi Central Jail. The project is estimated to cost around Rs70 million.
