Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that he cannot execute the culprits involved in the Sahiwal alleged encounter and the appropriate action will only be taken on the basis of joint investigation team (JIT) report's findings, Express News reported.

Speaking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly on Monday, he said: “I cannot hang anyone and the proper action would only be taken after receiving the findings of JIT report by 5pm tomorrow.”

On Saturday, four people – including two women – were killed in a shady encounter involving Punjab’s counterterrorism police on a highway in the Qadirabad area of Sahiwal district.
