“We are not displeased from the federal government but seeking clarification whether our demands were illegal or un-constitutional… because BNP-M’s six-point demand represents the voice of people of Balochistan,” Mengal said while talking to a private channel on Sunday.
He slammed the PTI government over zero progress on the BNP-M’s demands (recovery of missing persons, rights on provincial resources, health, education, infrastructure and new dams in Balochistan).

To a query regarding CPEC, he said government was showing seriousness towards provincial reservations. The BNP-M has already shared its concerns related to corridor project with the governments, he added.
“The BNP-M never opposed development in the resource-rich but impoverished province. We were not in favour of development that turns local population into minority,” Mengal said adding that Balochistan did not get anything in CPEC.
On the presence of Afghan refugees in Balochistan, Mengal said that in 2018 election an Afghan refugee was elected as MPA which raises question that Afghan refugees have fake identity cards.
