Man guns down brother over property dispute
Victim’s father said his elder son Shabbir had reservations over his share in the property

A man allegedly gunned down his brother over a property dispute in Mureed Shakh area, Express News reported on Thursday. The police have nabbed the culprit and put him behind bars.
A police official said Ali Chachar, a resident of Kamu Shaheed Village, submitted a complaint at the police station. He stated that a few days ago, he transferred the ownership of his property among his two sons identified as Shabbir Chachar and Shaban Chachar.
However, the elder son Shabbir was not happy with his share in the property. He maintained that Shabbir also had an argument with him over the matter. Later, in sheer frustration, the elder brother left home.
Ali stated that on the day of the incident, Shabbir barged into the house and opened fire on Shaban who was sleeping in his room. The victim’s father said his son was killed on the spot while the culprit fled.
He demanded that police and higher authorities arrest the accused and provide justice.
Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested the suspect during a raid and registered a case against him. The police said that they also seized the weapon used in the murder. Further investigations were under way.
