“After visiting all of the districts and knowing the nature of the public problems, the coalition government has commenced efforts to address all of the lingering issues in Balochistan,” said the chief minister while addressing the people of Dalbandin at the residence of Minister for Finance Arif Muhammad Hassani on Tuesday.
Provincial Minister for Information Zahoor Buledi, Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar and district administrators were present during the meeting.
CM Balochistan urges a revamp of governance structure
“Indeed the masses will benefit from the provincial cabinet’s decisions,” said Kamal.
Slamming the previous governments for their flawed policies in addressing the issues of the people of Balochistan, the CM said, “Indeed Balochistan has a myriad of problems, but the provincial government is making earnest efforts in providing all basic facilities to the masses at their doorstep.
“To address the public issues at lower level, the provincial government is transferring powers to district level and will also give powers to the deputy commissioners and commissioners for providing speedy relief to the masses.” The CM urged the district administrators to show their performance.
CM Kamal promises timely release of funds
On government’s approach in addressing drought in Balochistan, the CM said, “The provincial government is making all-out efforts to provide basic facilities to the drought-hit people.”
Kamal pledged food, medicine and all the necessary goods for the drought-affected people of Chagai and Kharan districts.
“We have released Rs500 million for the drought-hit areas while short and long-term plans are being devised to counter drought in the province,” Kamal added.
Lauding the approach of the finance minister in addressing the issues of the people in his constituency, the CM said, “Fortunately, I have a hardworking team which is working day and night to provide relief to the deprived people of the province. The elected representative of Chagai has taken various decisions regarding the issues of the district.”
Quetta re-emerging as peaceful city, claims CM Kamal
On the pleas of the people of Chagai, the CM pledged to develop the district on modern lines.
Kamal visited the Prince Fahad Bin Sultan Welfare Hospital and was given a briefing regarding the affairs of the hospital.
“Healthcare is the right of every human being, which is why our government declared health emergency across the province in its first cabinet meeting to impart basic facilities to the people,” he added.
The CM took notice of the non-functional x-ray machine at the hospital, directing the health department to deliver an x-ray machine to the hospital at the earliest.
