ISLAMABAD: Despite being a digital age and the government allocating funds, the website and social media accounts of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) have not been updated in the new year.

The centre, which operates under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has not upgraded its website despite the fact that it was issued a large grant for the purpose.

Information ministry had directed all of its subordinate institutions to keep updating their activities on different social media platforms, websites and electronic media in order to present the performance of the bodies on a global level apart from reaching out to the more than a thousand PNCA members.

Despite this, the website of the centre has not been updated.

Its social media accounts too have been inactive since the turn of the new year.

While talking to Daily Express, he added that the website will also be upgraded to offer information both, in Urdu and English.

Asked about why the site was offline in recent days, he revealed that the website had encountered some technical problems in its domain.
