Dummar orders WASA to cut illegal connections

PHE minister urges Wasa officials to fulfil their responsibilities

CDA has seized “several” illegal connections so far, including water connections of farmhouses from major pipelines of Simly Dam.

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineer (PHE) Noor Muhammad Dummar has ordered the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) to take action against those who have illegal water connections in the province.

Chairing a meeting of the board of directors on Friday, the minister said the province has been facing water shortage for a long time and there was a need to overcome this crisis.

He urged Wasa officials to fulfil their responsibilities and enhance departmental services.

Quetta Mayor Kaleemullah, PHE Secretary Abdul Fateh Bhangar, Law Secretary Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Finance Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal, Deputy Mayor Younus, Wasa Managing Director Mujeebur Rehman, Director General Mohammad Tariq and other officials were present.
