NAB files plea to interrogate Shehbaz in jail

NAB maintains that it acquires details of Shehbaz's properties, bank accounts and private vehicles

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted an application in court on Saturday to allow them to interrogate former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif, in the assets beyond his means case, while he was in custody.

The accountability bureau maintained that it acquired details of Shehbaz's assets which includes claimed properties, bank accounts and private vehicles.

NAB further added in the application that it managed to procure details of PML-N president’s accounts from 1997 to 2004 and of his accounts and properties from 2007 to 2018.

NAB made it clear that the agency is conducting separate probes in cases against Shehbaz, Hamza Sharif and Salman Shehbaz and the investigation of assets beyond income against Shehbaz was initiated on October 28 last year.
