illegal recruitments: IGP’s lawyer examines witness

Former Sindh IG, and Hyderabad SSP appeared before the court

KARACHI: Defence counsel for former Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali completed on Friday the cross-examination of National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) witness in a reference relating to illegal appointments in Sindh Reserves Police force. Former Sindh Inspector-General of Police (IG) Jamali, former Hyderabad senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ghulam Nabi Kerio, and other accused appeared before the court. NAB witness, DIG Naeem Sheikh, also appeared before the court. Jamali’s counsel, Amir Raza Naqvi, completed the cross-examination of the witness statement. According to NAB, the accused made 881 illegal appointments in Sindh Reserve Police (SRP) Hyderabad.
