Three children die of pneumonia in Kohlu, Balochistan

Residents demands authorities attention

QUETTA: At least four people including three children died due to a pneumonia outbreak in Kohlu on Thursday, which also left more than 30 people sick.

The outbreak in the Tambeel area of the district has affected dozens of people, including children.

More than 30 people were admitted to district headquarter hospital triggering concern in the home district of provincial Health Minister Mir Naseebullah Mari.

According to sources, the patients have been suffering due to unavailability of doctors and medicines in the area.

In 2019 people of Kohlu were compelled to follow old prescription of using sheep fur for treating their patients stricken with pneumonia.

The residents have demanded immediate attention of the provincial government over this latest outbreak of disease in Kohlu.
