Realme arrives in Pakistan with smartphone launch

The line-up includes the flagship Realme 2 Pro and entry-level smartphone Realme C1

LAHORE: Smartphone maker Realme unveiled its devices in Pakistan.

“By embodying the spirit of ‘Proud to Be Young’, Realme provides an optimum combination of bold, innovative designs and a balanced integration between software and hardware,” said He Shunzhi, Marketing Head of Realme Pakistan.

The line-up includes the flagship Realme 2 Pro that comes with a 6.3-inch full dewdrop screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660AIE processor that features high performance and low power consumption.

“The brand, while young, has some deep insights about what the youth require from devices like a smartphone. We are indeed proud to be collaborating with such a foresighted brand to provide the best, affordable products for the target market,” said Saud-Ur-Rehman, Product Manager of Realme Pakistan.

Priced at Rs 46,999, Realme 2 Pro is equipped with 8GB RAM, 128 GB ROM space and can support microSD card extension. In terms of camera, the phone comes with a 16 megapixel and 2 megapixel rear dual cameras. The camera supports dual-core focus while the secondary camera has been assigned to measure the spatial distance between objects. The front camera on this phone is 16 mega-pixel with F2.0.

In terms of entry-level smartphones, the company is introducing the Realme C1 which comes with a 6.2-inch screen, a full HD 1080p screen that goes up to 88.8 per cent of ratio.

Priced at Rs 18,999, the phone is equipped with a 4230 mAh “Mega Battery” that lasts an entire day of usage. The smartphone is supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor. Realme C1 comes with 13 megapixel and 2 megapixel rear dual cameras with 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM storage.

To further mark its place in Pakistan’s market, a collaboration between Zong and Realme was announced at the event.

“The deal we offer to consumers who purchase Realme will get 12GB data from Zong. This will allow individuals to get their hands on these fantastic smartphones with convenience, ease, and speed in both devices and fast online surfing,” said Da Fu, Regional Director of Zong Pakistan.

While otherwise, the smartphones will be available on Daraz.pk. Realme C1 will be sold exclusively from January 9.

The Realme 2 Pro comes in Black Sea colour, while C1 comes in Navy Blue and Mirror Black.
