QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan congratulated the people on the advent of the New Year and prayed that 2019 be a year of peace, prosperity and development for Pakistan

According to a statement issued by the Balochistan CM House, the chief minister reiterated the provincial government’s resolve to work harder in order to meet the expectations of the people of the province.

“People have great expectations from this new government … we will work hard to meet them,” said CM Kamal, adding that all efforts would be made to end backwardness and joblessness in the province.

Kamal termed his Monday’s announcement of 10,000 vacancies as New Year’s gift. “Around 10,000 vacancies will be announced next month in an effort to recruit jobless youth of the province,” he said, adding that steps were under way to end unemployment in the province and the government was making efforts to meet the expectations of the people.

Kamal said, “For Balochistan youth, 9,000 to 10,000 vacancies will be announced. The government has been working on different sectors to provide jobs to the youth of Balochistan.”

The CM said, “We will give more gifts of development and prosperity to the people of the province during the current year.”

Kamal congratulates HDP candidate Nayel

The chief minister congratulated Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) candidate Abdul Qadir Nayel for winning the PB-26 Quetta seat in the by-election. He said as the people of his constituency trusted him and elected him as their leader, “I hope that he will meet their expectations”.

Education key to solving problems, says Kamal

It is hoped that now he would work hard for the development of the province and strength of the institutions. “After holding by-election in a peaceful atmosphere, democracy will strengthen and people will get the fruit of democracy.

Inquiring after Jameel’s health

In a statement, Kamal expressed anxiety over the cardiac arrest of the prominent religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel. He prayed for his early recovery, adding that Maulana Jameel “is an asset” for the entire Islamic world. Everyone is praying for his recovery.
