Manchester United are quite happy with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm on interim basis, but they still have to find a full-time manager before the end of Premier League season.

Tottenham Hotspurs' Mauricio Pochettino and former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane are the favourites right now, but United have their eyes on another name, a rather unusual one.

Red Bull Salzburg boss Marco Rose is the one that has attracted the Premier League giants' attention with his role with the Austrian club since joining them in 2017, according to The Sun.

The 42-year-old has led Salzburg to the semi-final of the Europa League, where they lost out to Marseille, and the domestic Austrian title.

Rose is also a good friend of current Jurgen Klopp as he played under him at Mainz when the Liverpool manager he was manager of the German club earlier in his career.

As of now, rumours have it that Pochettino is on top of United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward’s list but if the Tottenham man refuses to take the role, other options are also being lined up.
